Established back in 1928, Rock Oil has been a manufacturer for all kinds of oil including marine, agriculture industrial and of course automotive. For the last 30 years Rock Oil has provided and supported both motorcycle and automotive racing, and in 2011 will branch out to drifting for the first time with the help of Team Japspeed.
‘This is yet another fantastic collaboration for Team Japspeed in 2011’ explains Japspeed Team Principal, Paul McCallum. ‘Rock Oil is one of the most-experienced manufacturers around, and has provided oils for a range of championship-winning bikes in the past. With our drift cars being such highly tuned motors under significant stress the best oil available is a necessity’.
Team Japspeed will be running fully synthetic Rock Oil 15-50w in all their competing cars this year, including the V8 twin-turbo S15 of Shane Lynch, Steve Biagioni’s 1JZ-powered Subaru Impreza, Paul Smith’s 1JZ-powered S15 and additionally the RB25-powered S15 being used in the Irish Prodrift series by Shane O’Sullivan.
